It’s been a while since my last article on making earning extra money online. The last one was on how to Tweet and Earn.
Today, there are many ways of making money online and internet gurus are developing new ways for those of you who wanted to make that extra bucks.
Recently, a new form of earning potential came in the form of link/URL sharing. Earlier, if you found an interesting article you simple send it to some of your friends. I’m not against that :) But would you like to get paid sharing that same link with your friends?
With social networking sites becoming the order of the day and you having so many friends and people who follow you on Twitter and Facebook, sharing links can be become quite beneficial to both you and your friends. However, you need to keep in mind that you should not Spam your friends, else you could become “quite unpopular”.
Two days back, I stumbled upon a couple of “share link and earn” sites, but the I’ll mention only Ity.im which is owned and operated by internet marketing firm Majon International. The company is into Email Marketing, Blog and Article Marketing, Directory Submission Services, Webpage Optimization, PR marketing and more!
Okay, what makes this “URL shortener site” quite interesting is the it enables you to:-
- Earn by shortening long URLs (specially those long Amazon URLs) and then sharing it with your friends or followers;
- You can add audio to your short URLs;
- For bloggers/publishers you can place ad units to earn
- You can Upload Photos and PDF files and earn along.
I would suggest the ‘sharing URLs’ good for all as it has the same benefits. However, I am a bit disappointed with the banner and earnings per click rate. It is not the same for all countries. While some countries like the United States and Canada get good CPC rate others like India and Philipines get nothing out of it.
